Intercontinental Wellington, An Ihg Hotel, Wellington

My stay at the hotel was unexpectedly delightful. The room was spacious and well-appointed, with two double beds that were perfect for our needs. The service was incredibly friendly and helpful. The location, although somewhat cramped, was very central and convenient, with an excellent attached restaurant. Dining had excellent choices despite a small hiccup with overcooked eggs. Overall, a great experience with a few minor drawbacks.

The hotel is centrally located and convenient for exploring Wellington, but it may not be ideal for families with small children or non-strong swimmers due to some safety concerns and the need for maintenance. The rooms, while starting to show some wear, were satisfactory, although housekeeping was missed one day. The standout feature was the exceptional customer service and warm hospitality received. The dining experience had limited choices and chaotic peak times, requiring improvement to justify the prices, and the facilities could use a refresh, especially in the dining area.

The hotel offers very comfortable rooms with great service from the staff, although they are getting a little tired. My room was spacious and had everything we needed for our stay, including complimentary drinks. The location is extremely convenient, within easy walking distance of the wharf, the CBD, and other key attractions in town.

The hotel's premiere suite was rather tired but offered a bathtub and separate shower with various lighting options and plugs, although it was quite dusty in the corners. The service provided is a mix of formal and disinterested staff but also includes incredibly helpful and prompt individuals, especially a trainee on reception and a lounge host. The location is central and convenient for accessing local attractions and activities, making it a great choice for exploring Downtown Wellington. The dining experience was okay but not exceptional, with room for improvement in replenishing buffet options. Despite some room for enhancement, the hotel offers excellent facilities to enhance the overall stay.

I had an amazing experience at this hotel. The rooms were out of this world, with top-notch amenities like a big screen TV and a spa bath. Keeping the curtains closed 24/7 added to the luxurious feel, making it a truly relaxing stay. The service was great overall, with friendly and professional staff, although there was a minor hiccup with communication about closing times. The location was perfect for exploring central Wellington, and the Club room on the 9th floor offered a comfy bed and fantastic lounge food and drinks. While the dining wasn't consistently excellent, the meals were still worth the money. The facilities were top-notch and added to the overall fantastic experience.
